Antonio Margarito can now fight to Miguel Cotto

Good news for everyone, a latest updates about Cotto Vs Margarito 2 fight has been announced last night. Antonio Margarito was atlast approved by a vote from the New York Athletic Commission (NYAC) for a license to fight in New York, City against WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on December 3, 2011 at the Madison Square Garden, New York.

Antonio Margarito met with a NYSAC appointed Dr. Michael Goldstein, who after examining Margarito’s right eye, determined that he was okay to fight Miguel Cotto. The New Athletic Commission then give Antonio Margarito his license to fight against Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.

If we still remember, in the Pacquiao Vs Margarito last November 13, 2010 fight, Antonio Margarito got a severe problem about his eyes which actually go through two surgeries and that is the reason why New York Athletic Commission won’t let Antonio Margarito fight in New York.

In spite of this, Margarito wanted the fight to Cotto and Arum went along with it. Fortunately Margarito can now fight. The only question left now is that, whether Margarito’s right eye will hold up under the pounding from Cotto. It seems like a really bad idea to go into a hard fight like this after surgeries, but Margarito is determined to win so I guess we should respect his decision. Don’t miss to watch Cotto Vs Margarito 2 Fight Live this coming December 3, 2011.
